Allesverloren
Description
Known as the oldest wine farm in the Swartlands region, Allesverloren believes in the motto: For the love of wine. The present day Malan family is the 5th generation of winemakers here, and the family has been in the wine-making trade since the mid-1800s. The original Malan winemaker 140 years ago was Daniël Francois Malan, and now his great, great, great grandson, Danie Malan continues his legacy, by being both the estate owner, and winemaker.
They’re quite popular for their jewel-coloured red wines, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Fine Old Vintage, Shiraz, Tinta Barocca, and Touriga Nacional - with which they’ve won numerous awards. A local favorite is their Allesverloren Shiraz, with a fruity plum aroma and a cigar and pepper taste.
