Higgeldy Piggeldy Animal Farmyard
Description
Higgeldy Piggeldy Animal Farmyard is a fantastic family friendly attraction situated at Imhoff Farm in Kommetjie, a suburb on the Cape Peninsula. Home to a variety of farm animals, including goats, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a pony, the farmyard is not to be missed.
Visitors can enjoy visiting the animal farmyard to learn about all of the fluffy animals that reside here. Kids can enter the larger enclosures and pet the animals such as the rescued pony, Picadilly, or stroke some of his furry friends such as the friendly rabbit, Mr Ginger. Bring along your own carrots for your kids to feed them. Did you know that goats have rectangular pupils? This is just one of the many quirky facts you’ll learn from the brightly coloured information stations around the farm.
Guided group tours can be arranged according to your requirements. The farmyard also caters for educational school outings. Activities include a talk on the animals with a puppet show, a guided tour around the farm, and hands-on activities such as milking a goat.
In addition to the petting farmyard, Imhoff Farm also boasts a snake park, horse and camel rides, as well as paintball and face painting. There are 3 eateries at Imhoff, namely the Blue Water Café, Free Range Coffee Shop, and The Pickled Fish which offer everything from light snacks to home cooked meals.
