Port Of Port Nolloth
Description
The Port of Port Nolloth is situated in the town of the same name along the northwestern coast of South Africa. Once a trans-shipment point for copper from the Okiep mines and diamonds from the Namaqua coast, it is now used for small fishing vessels and recreational boating only.
The port consists of a single quay measuring 67m in length. As the harbour has become silted, only small vessels can access the quay. Since the 1970s, large scale shipping no longer operates at Port Nolloth. There are no tugs or pilots available.
