Selborne College
Description
Selborne College is a public boarding school for boys in East London, Eastern Cape. The school caters for 730 learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12. Boarding facilities are available for 75 boys.
HERITAGE
Selborne College was established in 1872 by Pastor Heinrich Muller, a German settler, and was known as the Panmure Public School. In 1922, the foundation stone was laid at the current site of the college by Sir Ferderick de Waal, Administrator of the Cape.
ACADEMICS
Selborne College achieved a 90% Matric pass rate and an 80% University Entrance pass in 2014. The school motto is Oakma Virtut which means “Reward is to the Brave”.
