Mooiste natuur, beste avontuur. Dit was ons eerste keer in die Transkei, en dit was die beste vakansie nog. Om km's strand net vir ons te gehad het, was wonderlik. Ons kon elke dag die wonderskoon geniet, sonder inmeng van tegnologie. Die mooiste sonopkomste en sonondergange elke dag. Ons was ook bederf met vetkoek, potbrood, varsgebakte brood, vars vis en seekos. John het my man ook 2 dae vergesel om vis te vang. Die perdryrit van 2 ure was vir my die hoogtepunt, begelei deur locals, het ons die strand tot by Silver bay gereis. Die mense van die Transkei is net anders, hulle wil net deel en glimlag, en almal waai as jy verby hul ry of loop. Selfs die pad soontoe is avontuur op sy eie, wat ons terdeë geniet het (durf dit net eerder aan met 'n 4x4) Dankie Barry en jou mense, ons sal beslis weer kom, en nooit die vakansie vergeet nie.

Amazing place, will revive your soul. Amazing place, right on the most incredible beaches, Barry, the host, will ensure you have a comfortable stay. Take a book, a chop, a dop and settle in.

We had a wonderful break at Transkei beach cottages. Barry is a great host and his dogs are just as hospitable - taking us on guided walks on the beach every morning and easily accepting my furry baby into their home. With the natural beauty of the coastline and the idyllic setting, it was easy to quickly forget the hustle of city living and embrace the simple pleasures of life. We will definitely visit again!

Absolute Bliss! Most beautiful, unspoiled place in the world. Cottage is simple but has everything you need. Location is perfect. Hosts are lovely including the very friendly, playful Bulmastive, Max! Amazing walks, swimming beaches, rock pools and fresh seafood. Only downfall. 1 week is not enough!

One in a million! Om deel te wees van die Transkei was 'n voorreg op sy eie. Ons het elke aand met die deure oop geslaap en veilig gevoel. Die strande was skoon en die hengel was 'n plesier. Barry die eienaar het uit sy pad gegaan om ons te help. John of "Lucky John" was ons guide gewees vir 5 dae en hy was uitstekend. Ons sal weer terug wees.

Would love to give a good review, but unfortunately we can't. Even though the host is such a nice guy, the pictures are very misleading and outdated. Probably fine for a "rough it up" fishing trip, but not for a family with young children such as ourselves. It was a constant battle to keep our toddler from running through the multiple dog poo landmines.

Absoluut fantasties! Kan nie 'n beter plek kry waar jy omring word deur die mooiste natuur nie. 'n Mens kan net ontspan, jou diere is welkom en die gasheer het na elke behoefte omgesien. Die rustigheid, die natuurskoon, strand wat tot in die verte strek, is alles wat jy nodig het om heeltemal jou kop skoon te kry.

The most idyllic spot for a complete break from everyday life. We had a wonderful 10 days at Transkei beach cottage. The proximity to the beach is awesome. The sea was so loud that it took a few days to get used to its roar. The cottage itself is very rustic. We were unlucky that it was very windy while we were there and the living area is very exposed. When the wind died down, it was magical.
