"Dit is die moeite werd om laatmiddag deur die dorp te stap en al die ou huise en geboue te bewonder. Alhoewel bietjie ver, is dit 'n baie gerieflike oornag-stop van Gauteng/Mpumalanga af oppad Weskus toe. "

"The staff at the butchery - Calvinia Vleis - were extremely friendly, and went out of their way to accommodate our needs (by adding extra spices on the mutton chops at no cost). In spite of being busy on a Friday afternoon they still had time to inform us and direct us about the town/area/flowers etc. On a previous trip we visited the Museum which displays items of historical importance to the town and country. Truly a must see for all South Africans and of course for international visitors."
