Who can forget Hugh Grant’s questionable dance moves where he plays the role of a British Prime Minister, or brokenhearted Colin Firth, the frustrated writer, who falls madly in love with his Portuguese housekeeper? Come enjoy a picnic at Antonij Rupert Wines in the Franschhoek Wine Valley with the majestic Drakenstein Mountains as a backdrop while reliving these magical movie memories.

The huge lawn in front of the Antonij Rupert Tasting Room offers enough space for the larger-than-life movie screen and ample space to stretch out and enjoy the goodies in your basket. You can fill it up with whatever you want at the elegant marquee with a selection of pre-packed cheese and charcuterie platters, fresh salad tubs, delicious, fresh strawberries from the estate, freshly baked artisanal breads, chicken liver pâté and estate cured olives. If you have a sweet tooth, head to the food tent where you can also add a gourmet cupcake or two. They even have special pre-packed picnic boxes available for the young ones.
