The Colour Me Crazy run and colour festival is scheduled to hit Cape Town and Joburg over the coming months, bringing with it a kaleidoscope of colour, energy, dancing, and music in one outrageous event. The festival celebrates happiness, health, and individuality, and people of all ages, from little kids, to parents and grandparents are encouraged to be a part of this colour and music extravaganza.

Colour Run (Colour Me Crazy Website)

The festival kicks off with a 5km Colour Run on 21 September 2013 (Joburg) and 26 October 2013 (Cape Town). The race has no winners or losers, and as there is no time limit, you can choose to walk or run it at your own pace. Runners will pass through a “colour wash” at each kilometre milestone and as they near the end, colour will be thrown into the air every 15 minutes to welcome new runners over the finish line.

After the race, a vibrant music festival will take place where South African performers such as Mi Casa, Goodluck, LCNVL, Crazy White Boy, and Roger Goode will take the crowd by storm. The event is open to all ages, ensuring everyone can take part if this fun loving festival. Rope in your friends and family for a colourful day of running, singing, and dancing!

Various food stalls will be available on the day as well as a separate bar area for over 18s. Please note that the 5km fun run is not compulsory, so if you prefer to just enjoy the music festival, you’re welcome to do so.
