Highlights include the Grape Escape, Mountain Bike Challenge, Junior Tour, and Tricycle Tour. Even if you don’t like cycling, come along and support the colourful, crazy characters that do! Cape Town has plenty of exciting things to do that will keep you entertained and coming back for more.
Travel tips:
- If you haven’t yet booked your flights, do so immediately! Prices are likely to increase closer to the date.
- Pre-book your hire car in advance, because there will be a high demand that weekend and you don’t want to have to cycle to your accommodation with your luggage on your back. Remember to request a hire car that is big enough to transport your bikes.
- If you prefer not to drive yourself around, familiarise yourself with the public transport available in Cape Town. For example: The MyCiTi Bus operates along 4 routes, namely Table View – Civic Centre; Table View routes (Parklands, Blaauwberg, and Big Bay); Central city route (Gardens – Civic Centre – Waterfront); Airport – Civic Centre (departs every 20 minutes).
- Book your taxi/transfer well in advance and inform them about bringing your bike.
