"What a lovely town. Full of interesting shops and restaurants with friendly people and lots to do and see. Prices are also very reasonable."
"As is the case with most South African towns, Parys needs work. Part of the problem is out of the towns hands, like pollution in the river. Those responsible, whether individuals or big businesses, should be held accountable. Good governance is part of the solution. Overall, a good destination within easy reach of Johannesburg. Market on first Saturday of the month is worth a visit, especially to try the products from the local micro brewery."
"There are many antiques and collectables shops where travellers can buy things for their homes. Beautiful place."
"Anytime you just want to relax and eat at the nicest little places, walk around in little shops and hang your love lock at the 100 year old bridge. Take the road to Parys. We had fun there!"
"We loved the quaintness of the town. There is a lot to do and see, more than you can fit in to a weekend. Lots of nice restaurants and of course the antique shops are amazing!"
"The town is going backwards. Full of litter, broken bottles. I don't think I will be back soon."
