Bettiesbaai is sentraal vir rondry na die groter dorpe/stede soos Hermanus; Somerset-Wes, ens. Die restaurante soos The Tides; Jacks en Disa by the Harold Porter tuine is 'n wenner. Wil graag die ander winkels ondersteun, maar die donker atmosfeer en versloofde en verwaarloosde geboue maak jou ietwat wantrouig oor die kwaliteit van die kruideniersware. Die mense by die Penguin Cafe is baie behulpsaam en vriendelik. Die omgewing is die grootste trek pleister."

"Tulbagh is a beautiful location, small and quaint. It is worth staying outside of Tulbagh main streets as trucks roar up and down braking with their airbrakes that sounds loud at night. Manley Wine Lodge and Tulbagh Hotel both serve very good food in their restaurants. Oakhurst Olives do a fantastic olive tasting and at Twee Jonge Gezellen the wine/MCC tastings are upstairs on a lovely sunny terrace where you could sit for hours looking at the beautiful scenery. Spar has a wide range of fresh food if you are doing the self-catering option, or want lunchtime snacks. You really need a good couple of days to go to all the attractions that surround Tulbagh. Will have to pay another visit to see what we missed."
